Although this Dell computer is a survivor from a few trojans and viruses, I ran into numerous problems, meaning I should at least be careful when handling torrents and similar stuff.

By now, I am unable to use Direct3D applications, which means I can't use programs Media Player Classic (still workable) and the Project64 emulator at the moment. Whenever I start the computer up or shut it down, I don't even see the fading effect whatsoever. =/

To make matters worse, whenever I try to update my Sound Blaster Audigy drivers through Windows Update, I suddenly have no 'What U Hear' and no audio output whatsoever. And I couldn't find a decent video card for slim computers. Most of them are only for regular sizes.

Hopefully at the beginning of 2010, not only I'm going to change my lifestyle, making it better than what it was during 2009, I will get a brand new computer with better features, such as the Windows 7 operating system, released not too long ago. I'm looking for a decent video card and audio card to go along with the new computer. I probably would include video capturing features as well.

As I am typing this journal, I'm stuck between a Hewlett-Packard and a Gateway, but I'm thinking mostly about a HP...or whatever you think is actually best for me.

It's not going to be a slim size either, because I made plans for a regular size instead. Finding a good audio card is so much easier for me anyways.

Oh, and by the way, please let my Western Digital hard drive be compatible with Windows 7...
