Urgent: Hard Drive Failing...

About my 2 TB external hard drive, it is now starting to reach its peak by failing. By having a 1 TB hard drive for my computer, I am now attempting to back up most of my files, offline and online. I just hope I'm able to purchase a new one before the unthinkable happens to me yet again. I really don't want to relive those dreadful dial-up and early broadband days where I constantly have to reformat computer after computer while losing personal data in the process.
